Can you take our waste to the household recycling center in Aberdeen/shire?No, We can not. We need to visit the commercial waste disposal facility and pay the necessary fee to properly dispose of your waste.. If you transport waste, or arrange the transport of waste for others, it’s likely that you will need to register with SEPA as a waste carrier, broker, or professional collector and transporter of waste. The definitions below will help you identify what you need to register as. Waste carriers A waste carrier is a person (or establishment or undertaking) that transports controlled waste in the course of carrying out business activities with a view to profit. Transporting waste includes taking it from job to job, to a storage site, or taking it to somebody else who manages or disposes of it. A registration is required even if carrying waste is not the main business activity or waste is only carried occasionally. Some examples of activities that would require registration as a waste carrier are: collection and transport of waste from businesses; collection and transport of waste from households such as garden waste, bulky waste, or house clearances; transporting your own construction and demolition waste; transporting waste from a household or business as part of a job. For example, taking away garden waste after doing a garden maintenance or landscaping job. (Repost); Government Website

We can’t collect certain hazardous materials such as paint cans, motor oils, chemicals, solvents, asbestos, medical or biological waste but your local authority can offer advice on how you should dispose of them. Certain items which we can collect are classified as hazardous waste because of the way in which they need to be disposed of. These items include commercial computer monitors, fridges and freezers. There is a supplement rate for these items because our disposal costs are higher.

Does my waste need to be in one place? There is no need to put it all in one location. We’re happy to collect your rubbish from multiple locations on your premises, whether it be inside, upstairs or outside – as long as it is safe to access. It can be helpful when the waste is clearly separated or in one place for our team to collect, as this will make sure we are providing you with an accurate quote and ensure we clear all waste from your premises. This is particularly useful if you are not available and someone else is showing us what to remove from your property.
